Playing DryKorn

Ladies and Gentlemen....The Great White Shark boys are going to be playing an instore stripped back set at the Drykorn shop Berlin. We're gonna be heading down there at 1pm to plug in the axes and set up the PA and will be hanging round drinking beer untill we play at 3pm. We will be running through a load of new and old songs for you, some you've heard, some you haven't. Guranteed its gonna be a good time. Come down and check it out. Its free. Wassup rock n rollers, punks and princepesha's. This is a mid tour update to let you know how its all been going. So far we've hit London, Paris, Bremen, Frankfurt and Berlin with LA Indie popsters The Blood Arm. We then set off on our own tour, joint headlining with the delightful shoegaze troupe Blue Angel Lounge. So far with them we've played Frankfurt, Cologone, Bremen and Berlin and we're about to set off for Vienna, Ausburg, Stein the Munich. Its been a f***kin amazing so far and we cant wait for the rest of it....come and join the ride if you fancy some fun! Thanks to all that have come to watch....till next time. peace x

The times they are a changin'

OK...its been a long time since we last did a post, and from what i can determine theres been alot happen since then. We've been tearing up the decks at the elctro pop rock party "Death by pop" on a weekly basis, with a lot of choco treats and burlesque dancers to boot. We've been force fed tom collins till we were blind, and got given a load of beautiful BEN SHERMAN clothes. We've had subcultrue feature for the legendary FRED PERRY, we've written 2 new hits, scored some new tattoos....but above all have released our debut EP - "BRING US BACK TOGETHER EP". We are all very proud of this achievement, so thank you to everyone who has supported us... Stay tuned for more news and maybe buy our EP if you like the cut of our JIB (sherman JIB).

So for this years Berlin Music week we will be playing an in store for Snowwhite with the wonderful Blood Arm. Its free entry and there will be a free bar with lots of tasty free beers. So no need to bring your wallet out....maybe just a bit of spare change in your pocket for the routine kebab on the way home.

glastonbury>>

As well as having the privalage of going to one the best festivals in the world this year, we also had the privalage of playing it. On thursday Great White Shark took to the Tripod stage at Glastobury, located between the dragon field and the sacred circle, to perform their latest hits of atmos pop with honorary member Johnny "the tambo man" Chantarasak. We discovered Johnnys talents on wednesday morning outside the ice cream van. He was flying higher than the main stage flags and was playing tamborine like no mans played it before...so we snapped him up, there and then. Heres a pic from the gig:

thanks to the people who made the effort to come all the way over to watch a man in a dress and a hippie on tambo, we appreciate it. Untill next time!...when the stage will be bigger and the dress will be longer.

So...wandering along the street the other day, Vincent Wager was dodging the paparazi. And as his head turned, skipping past the flash of the camera's, he noticed this chikolata donning a home made "fallen in the wrong crowd" GREAT WHITE SHARK bag. He managed to steal away a photo of her chilling on the sidealk as he ducked down the nearest alley.

We all think this is pretty damn cool! Keep making the homemade bags...we love em'.

Acoustic set at Glastonbury

Ah yeh thats right...Great White Shark are confirmed to play the Tripod Stage this year at Glastonbury. Unfortunately it won't be full band, but JIm will be flying the solo flag, and doing his best to represent the rest of the great white shark team. 'Ello Mate'

Great White Shark have some exciting new news...we completed the 3 shows with the magnanimous Art Brut on Saturday, finishing it up at Molotow bar in Hamburg (capital of the mexicana/pizza in a shot glass). And we had an amazing time...hopefully we will re visist the punksters on tour again soon, and maybe find Jasper on a nice bit of comfy pavement.

the big fish speaks:

So firstly....just wanna say that Thee Nathaniel Fregoso absolutely smashed it at Rock n' Roll Bingo last night! So big fanks to him and to the lovely Dyan of The Blood Arm for providing some tasty dance floor jams.

Secondly....Tonight is our 1st show with the crowning champions of indie rock - Art Brut! Its at the Levve Club, Berlin and we'll be kicking off the evening at around 8...need less to say we're very excited!

If anyone is living Hamburg....we'll be appearing at the Molotov on Saturday again supporting Art Brut...so if your near and you want a party, come and play.

Hello / Hallo & Good evening / Guten Abend from Great White Shark...just to let you know that this evening Jim and Jack are appearing on Motor FM to talk about the band, living in Berlin, Rock n Roll Bingo and playing with Art Brut. It should be being aired between 10pm and 12pm...so listen out. Our good friends the Blood Arm will also be on the show playing some music and talking tales of rock n roll, so its packed. Have a listen if you can, this is our first appearance on radio, so we're all pretty stoked!

the story...so far>>

Born in Berlin in 2011 Great White Shark was formed when Brit Indie/Punksters Adam Neal, Jim Cubitt and Jack Wharton fled London, sacrificing everything to escape their frustrating and repetitive lives with a unified passion and desire to start something new, beautiful and amazing! Thousands of miles from home in the freezing Berlin winter a bond was formed; an "all for one and one for all" mentality, and it is this trust that inspires and forms the cornerstone and ethos of the band. Jack and Adam (members of the band Eight Legs) instantly set about in recruiting the services of Black Metal Guru and Motor FM DJ Vincent Wager on drums. Believing that people must hear their music the band hit the ground running recording their debut EP @ Berlin's infamous Funkhaus (a former DDR building) with Ed East of Chikinki fame! Great White Shark can be seen on the road in May with none other than cult band "Art Brut"... Eddie Argos (also a new addition to the city) has been quick to jump on the bandwagon declaring Great White Shark as "more than a fish out of cold water"
